The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the Tekoa, at present loading at Gisborne, will not leave there until Monday afternoon for Auckland to fill up. An endeavour will be made to despatch the vessel from Auckland next Wednesday for New York and London, via Panama. CARGO FROM EAST CANADA. Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Baron Inchcape arrived at Sydney (Cape Breton- on Sunday Io load for New Zealand ports. She next will proceed to Montreal, ami is to leave there on August 25 for New Zealand. UNION CO.’s DEVELOPMENTS. It is reported that important shipping developments are connected with the recent visit to Sydney of the general manager ot the Union Steam Ship Company, Mr. D. A. Aitken. These Include the mail service between Melbourne and Tasmania, and the enlarging of Sutherland Dock at Cockatoo Island. Although Mr. Aitken would make no statement, it was learned that the recently reported decision to enlarge Coijratoo Dock was made at the request of the Union' Company, in order to accommodate their proposed new transpacific liner, and, under the present conditions. such a ship could not be docked either at Vancouver or Sydney. There is still some doubt as to the size and means of propulsion of the new Ruer. She will have at least 80 feet beam, thia being u feet more than the Aorangi. PORT BOWEN IN ’ PORT. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Bowen arrived at Wellington at 7.40 a.m. yesterday from New York, via Auckland and Napier. The vessel berthed at the Kmg s Wharf to put out part cargo. She is to leave Wellington this evening for Lyttei ton and Dunedin. ARAWA IN PORT. The Shaw, Savlll and Albion Company s liner, Arawa, arrived at M ellington at 9.a0 a.m. yesterday from Lyttelton, and berthed at the Glasgow Wharf to complete load-, ing. The vessel Is to leave here at day break on Saturday for Southampton and London, via Montevideo and Tenentte. NORTHUMBERLAND TO LOAD. The Northumberland, nt present completing discharge of her Liverpool cargo at New Plymouth, will commence loading there under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company. She will leave New Plymouth on Tuesday to load also at Auckland. Gisborne, Waikokopu, Napjer, Lyttelton, Wanganui roadstead and Wellington. The Northumberland is due at Wellington on August 27. and will sail finally from here on August 28 for London, via Panama. RUAHINE LEAVES COLON. An arrival in the stream at Auckland on Monday was the American steamer Golden Forest, formerly the West Togus, from the Pacific Coast ports. Cargo for Auckland is being unloaded there, and the vessel will sail to-morrow to Wellington, Netson. Timaru. and Dunedin to complete discharge.
