e SUITABILITY OF NEW ZEALAND WOODS Dominion Special Service. Auckland, July 16. After investigating abroad methods of papermaking from wood pulp, Mr. A. R. Entrican, engineer to the Forestry Department, returned by the Aorangi to-day from a tour of Europe and America. As a result of liis studies, particularly in North America, Mr. Entrican is convinced that there are reasonable prospects of converting New Zealand soft woods into major classes of news paper and wrapping paper. His report covering the results of his investigations and making certain recommendations relating to the possibility of establishing a new local industry will bo submitted to the Government.
