* A SLIGHT DECREASE A further decrease in the total number of infectious disease cases is shown by the medical bulletin Issued for the Wellington Health District for the week ended at noon yesterday. The decrease on the previous week’s total is shown a« six, while the decrease recorded last week was twenty. The Wairarapa—East Capo area still beads the list in scarlet fever cases, with a total of twenty-three, the Central Wellingto area being next with twelve. The returns for the various hospital districts are as under, I lie figures in parentheses being those for the previous week: — Wanganui — Horowhenua. —Scarlet fever, 8 (11); Diphtheria, 3 (2) ; tuberculosis', 2 (0) ; influenza, pneumonic, 1 (0); pneumonia, 1 (4); puerperal fever, 0 (2).
