KILBIRNIE KINEMA. Audiences nt the recently-opened Kilbirfiie Kinema are given food for laughter in “A Hero for a N.ight,” the Universal comedy. in which Glen Tyron has the part of a crazy young taxi driver with a mania for aviation. Ruth Miller plays opposite him. Also on the programme is “Hula,” in which Clara Bow does good work. An interesting Empire Gazette is also screened, and the orchestra presents a well-chosen musical programme. “JANE.” The last performance of "Jane,” the wellknown and enjoyable comedy, was given at the Concert Chamber last night. There was another large attendance and the three-act play presented by Mr. A. S. Warwick was as enthusiastically reeeivel as it was at its opening on Saturday night. The performance, which was given in aid of charity, was excellently acted throughout. PLUNKET PAGEANT. Famous Children of History,” the pageant to be given by Mrs. James Hannah at the Plunket Cabaret afternoon at the Town Hall on Saturday promises to be a brilliant review’. Nearly a hundred children and adults will be the performers in specially-designed costumes illustrating all periods'of history from early Britain to Queen Victoria's youthful days.
