BRITISH WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIPS THREE WORLD’S RECORDS (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) Eondon, July 15. At Manchester, in the British women’s championships, the South African Olympic athlete, Miss Clarke, won the 100 yards hurdles in 13 4-ssec., a world’s record. The Japanese Olympic runner, Miss K. Hitomi, won the 220 yards, beating the world’s record in her heat in 25 4-ssec. Miss Gunn, the British long jumper, jumped 18ft 7iin., a world’s record. 800 METRES RECORD BROKEN BY FRENCH CHAMPION. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) Paris, July 15. Seraphim Martin won the 800 metres event at the French championships in 1 min. 50 3-ssec.—a world’s record.
