MINOR RAILWAY MISHAP
« CARRIAGE DERAILED.by Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, July 16. Through part of the equipment of the passenger express from Culverden falling on to the line north of Ashley to-night, the front bogey of the first carriage was derailed. This resulted in a delay in the service, and the passengers were conveyed to Rnngiora by motor-car, thence to Christchurch by a special train. Little damage was done, aud the passengers in the derailed carriage knew nothing of the mishap until the train stopped. Later the carriage V.’as lifted on too the rails and the train came on to Christchurch. ~
