A BANKING APPOINTMENT. Mr. T. B. Heffer. assistant Inspector of the Bank of New South Wales in New Zealand. has been appointed inspector for the bank in Western Australia. Reserves amounted to £116,054. and there was a capital reserve of £52.543. Properties and plant are valued at £366.923. and general investments at £154.582, while cash is shown at £128.399. Another British company. Salt Union. Ltd.. Liverpool, which was formed in 1888 to consolidate the interests of salt firms in the United Kingdom, and acquired a great many undertakings, made for the year 1927 £265,075 net profit compared with £217.565 for 1026.
