DAYLIGHT SAVING

I Sir.—lu-to-day's issue of “The Dominion” I see Mr. I. IV. Turner advocates having all clocks put on 20 minutes winter, and summer. This is absurd. Mi. Turner cannot have worked on a farm, or In- would know that. 90. per cent- of the clocks on farms arc always-at; least 20 minutes ahead. That is one reason I cannot understand why farmers make such a fuss because the time was altered to one hour. I have worked on farms for oO years, and I never was on a place where the clock was not at least 20 minutes fast. I was two years on one place out of Masterton, and the clock there was always 40 minutes fast. Where lam working at present, there, orc six workers, and we are all in favour of Mr. Sidey’s Bill, and hope it is wade a fixture.. I think the boss should be, too. as we can get away fishing at night, and save him a good ninny chops next morning.—l ain, ■ Qiakb Jute lii*
