The Albino pheasant la rare, and the all-white specimen displayed in (he Franklin court at the Auckland Winter Show has attracted wide attention (says the “Star”). About la years ago when a winter show was held In Auckland a pure white pheasant was included in the Whangarci court, and Franklin responded by exhibiting a similar bird. At that time there were a number of albino pheasants In the Whakapara and I’uhlpuhi districts. In tho latter locality the existence of two pure white pheasants was known for several years, and although sportsmen diligently pursued them it was without result.
