FREE AMBULANCE SERVICE
RECORD OF CASES ’ From the inception of tbe 'Wellington . Free Ambulance service on November 9, 1927, up to and including Saturday last, 3319 cases have been attended to, the ambulances having travelled in all 37,527 miles. From July 1 to July 14 (both inclusive) 244 cases were attended to, the vehicles covering 2513 miles. This averages over 17 cases per day, and about, ISO miles travelling. The following figures for the mouth of June serve to show that every part of the district is benefiting by the service City and suburbs, 319 cases; Lower Hutt, 41; Petone, 26; Johnsonville, 16; Porirua, 9; Belmont, 8; Eastbourne, 8; Ngahauranga, 3; Plimmerton, 3; Paraparaumu, 3; Upper Hutt, 2; Newlands, 2; Pahautanui, 2; Lowry Bay, 2; Koro Koro, 1; Silverstream, 1; Heretaunga, 1; Maori Bank, 1; Makara, 1; Pareinata, 1; Orongorongo, 1. Total, 451 cases.
