“THE ONLY PARTY”
REFORM ADMINISTRATION ■ “’This Government lias been in oilice sixteen years to-day, mid we hope to be in for another sixteen years,” declared the Minister of Agriculture (Hon. O. J. Hawken) in the House of Representatives yesterday. “If we maintain the policy we have carried out in the past, I tliink our wish will be realised.” (Hear, hear.) Some of the proposals advanced by fhe Labour Pqrty were, in fhe opinion of the Minister, an attempt to bribe the electors. The Reform Government, be declared, had never fallen info that error. "11 would be easy for us.” added Mr. Hawken. “to keep down the rale of interest ami raise pensions to gain popularity. Such tactics have never been resorted to by this party, and I don’t 'think they over would be. For that reason the people of the country will realise that the only party to carry on the business of the Dominion is the present' Reform Party.” (Applause.)
