In the House of ('ominous, the Home Secretary, Sir William Joyu-son-llicks. replying to questions, said that he had not issued special instructions to Viscount Byng to report on the reorganisation of Scotland Yard. Viscount Byng would not commence his duties until November, when Sir William Horwood's retirement would take effect.
