In the open rinks tof the bowling tournament, Butler (Suva) beat Caughley (Suva), 28—17; Perkp (Suva) beat Uren (Suva), 23—13: Lewis (Sout’fi Australia) beat Bennett (Victoria), 21—19; Pickett (Fiji) defeated Millen (New Zealand), 17—16. The pennant competition has commenced. NEW ZEALAND TEAM BEATEN (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) London. July 9. The New Zealand bowlers were beaten by Inverness, 133—105.
