Who surprised the world recently by crossing the Atlantic, with W. Stultz as pilot, in a tri-motored Fokker seaplane, thus achieving the distinction of being the first woman to make the crossing by air. Miss Earhart is thirty years old, a prominent Boston social worker, and has been flying since 1918. In 192 Q she climbed in an aeroplane 14,000 feet, the altitude record for women, which was not broken until two years ago. It is said of Miss Earhart that she has “the Lindbergh look.”
