COMMON PUBLIC WORKS POLICY URGED BY AUSTRALIAN STATE GOVERNMENTS Sydney, June 20. The Development and Migration Commission has presente- an exhaustive report to the Federal Ministry, covering unemployment and recommending that the State Governments should adopt a common policy of planning public works well ahead over a term of years, and adopt a uniform system of employment bureaux. ' The report also says that the State Governments should arrange with the educational authorities for an extension of vocational training for youths after leaving school, urges the stabilisation of exchange, and the provision of facilities for the training of» business and industrial executives in the problems of seasonal fluctuations, and industrial organisation andmanagement.
