Modesty is a well-known trait in the character ol' members of the Heeney family, and it was well illustrated iu Auckland a short time ago, when the Heeney brothers were waiting to catch the Aorangi en route to America (says an exchange). One day Arthur, Pat and Jack were greatly troubled by Ihe attentions of a Press photographer, lie followed them everywhere, begging anxiously that they should pose for him while he took a snap. They as steadily refused. Hours went by and the photographer became desperate. I’inally he bailed up the brothers and delivered this final appeal: “Look here, you chaps, I ve got, to take this blessed photo. If Igo back without, one, I’ll get Ihe sack. Only then did the Heeney brothers aggee to relent!
