AUCKLAND HARBOUR THEFTS
$ Dominion Special Service. Auckland, May .14. The owners of small craft at Eastern Beach, Northcote, discovered ou going to their boats this morning lhat something was wrong, and hasty investigation proved that thieves had been at work during tlie night. The launch Aleela, the propertv of Mr. A. N. Breekenl which was in Shoal Bay, had been broken into, while Mr. Jamieson’s yacht Eunice, which had been liaulde on to the beach, had also received the attention of thieves. In both cases, the craft had been stripped of all movable gear, it was also discovered that white painted dinghy, owned by Mr. G. Lepper, bnd disappeared. The circumstances indicate that tlie thieves, lifter robbing the Eunice, pulled out to the Alecia in Hie stolen dinghy, and then made their getaway, taking with them tlie dinghy.
