TRANSFER NEGOTIATIONS CONDEMNED

The annual conference of the Postal Workers’ Union unanimously passed a resolution condemning the secret negotiations designed to hand over Stateowned wireless to private interests, and demanded that the Prime Minister announce that the Government will not permit such a transfer. The mover said that beam wireless had competed so successfully with other communications that foreign and other financial
interests were anxious to secure it. Mr. Kcllaway, speaking on behalf of Marconi’s, when interviewed, said: “Marconi’s have nothing to say about the matter.”
