A’ rather intense depression is now located over the Tasman Sea, but the pressure is rising rapidly in Eastern Australia. Forecast. —Moderate to strong northerly winds, later backing to westerly; seas becoming rough in places in and south of Cook Strait, elsewhere moderate; northerly winds, later backing to southerly in the eastern Tasman Sea, moderate in the northern portion with moderate seas, but strong in the southern portion with rough seas. Weather cloudy and unsettled generally, with rain in most districts.
