UNDEFENDED CASES.

Palmsf'ston North, May 12.

The main business before Mr. Justice Ostler in the Palmerston North Supreme Court this morning was the hearing of undefended petitions in divorce. The following decrees nisi, to be made absolute lifter three .months, were granted:— Charles William MeLeaii Homes v. Ida Maud Homes, on grounds of wilful desertion. , Nicholas Berthold Bringezu. farmer, of Owhnngo, v. Annie llarriete Bringezu, of Wellington, on grounds of adultery. Costs on the lowest scale were imposed on the co-respondent, who was named to be Thomas Straiten, of Wellington, while custody of an infant child was given the petitioner. Arthur Edward Hackett, surlacemtin, of Otaki. v. Flora Kate Hackett, grounds of adultery. Costs were imposed against, the co-respondent, who. was named to be John MacMahon, cheesemaker, of Mangatainoka. Claude Peyton Grey, bootmaker, ol Shannon, v. Elsie Magrett Grey, on

grounds of desertion. . Allan William Hancock, commercial traveller, of Palmerston North, v. Alice Hancock, on grounds of three years' separation. Petitioner asked for an order 'dving him custody of the children, at present in the name of respondent, but His Honour stated that he could not. make an order until he knew more of the case. The matter could be ventilated when the decree absolute was applied f °An order for restitution of conjugal ri"hts by Brende Alicia Saunders was applied for by Wnlldce. Roy Saunders, farmer, of Taikorea, and alter hearing evidence His Honour granted the application, restitution to be within 14 days of the serving of the decree.
