WORLD’S PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

A message from Toronto states that Australian and European entries are expected for the third Wrigley marathon swims for men and women scheduled to take place at Toronto on August 29 and September 5. The prizes amount to 50,009 dollars. The International Swimmers’ Association has agreed that both races shall be for the professional championships of the world. The women’s race is of ten miles and the men’s fifteen miles. George Young, the Catalina conqueror, and George Vierkotter have entered.
