A very large and beautifully-executed tiki is an outstanding gift which has been made to the Auckland Museum by Mr. James Prater and Mr. John Irate l , on behalf of the family of the late Mi. Robert Frater (reports an exchange). The tiki is regarded as one of the hnest in the museum collection. Other gitt. from the same donors are a line, old sacrificial mere, two taiabas, and an unusually well-carved and very old Melanesian adze, bound to a wooden haft.
