80th ANNIVERSARY. The Terrace Congregational Church, although not one of the largest churches in the city, possesses a wonderfully loyal and active membership. The anniversary Services held on Sunday last were memorable, for although the weather was unfavourable, there were-, fine congregations both morning ahd evenipgi Tho church was very tastefully decotatedv tile anthems bv the choir were ’beautifully rendered, while the spirit of friendly fellowship pervaded the sanctuary. The minister, the Rev. Erjiest B. Weeks, showed by his sermons that he was confident of the future of the Church. His message in the morning was based on the words “Thanks be unto God.for His. unspeakable gift.’ In the evening thd minister led his congregation to consider the high privilege ot the Christian Witness, .basing his remarks on the words “Ye are the Lord’s remembrancers.”, The Anniversary Day had had - been referred - to as • a ‘golden day. and there was a special ‘golden day thank offering which' amounted to A2OB 2s. -<l. Tuesday cveniilg brought the anniversary celebrations to a close by a 'Church at Home” The church hdll whs beautiful!} decorated, while the ladles of the church presided over thirty tables. The three sister Churches were well represented, lhe Rev. W. Maurice Holland, 8.A., L.D., brought greetings from the Cambridge Terrace Church, Mr., Haycraft represented the Newtown Church, while Pastor .Wearne conveyed the good wishes of tpe Lower Hutt Church. A musical programme was arranged by Mr.’- Lcn Barnes, in which Misses Porter and Terriss. Mrs. Moore; Messrs. Kmett,, and Smetliurst-, accompanied by Miss Lennie, were the artists. ■ The ininister» the Rev. Ernest R.
