SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
At the bi-weekly concert at the Sailors Friend Society on Thursday, Mrs. R. F. E. Fildes was hostess. The evening was a great success musically, and the men were insistent in their demands for encores. Light refreshments were passed around to the guests by hostess and her helpers. The performers were the Misses Kathleen Hume, Newman, McGimpsey, Frame, K. Hume, Gear Watson, and leddell. and Messrs. Sinethurst, Griffiths. Ayplebv, Curdv. Miss K. Hume was at the piano. The'compctltions gave much pleasure to all, and the prizes came from well-wishers and went to the Tai Ora. Hororata, and Maramn. The vote of thanks, which was very enthusiastic, was responded to by host and hostess.
