NEW ROAD WANTED

PROPOSAL THROWN OUT BY COUNCIL. The Reserves Committee reported to the City Council last night that application had again been made to the committe for the formation of a road east of the Brooklyn Road and along town acres 51 to 55. The committee, after carefully considering the matter, were of opinion that the council should not dedicate this portion of the Town Belt as street, because the proposed road would only serve five town acres; it would have a blind end, and it could not become a through road. The report was adopted.
