TERM HOLIDAYS
POPULARITY OF SOUTHERN HIGH SCHOOL?
Most of the secondary schools of the Dominion adjourned for the winter term holidays at the week-end. Some hundreds of boys from schools in the South Island arrived here on Saturday morning by the Maori, bound for their homes in various parts of the North Island, whilst a few boys from North Island Schools left for their homes in the South Island on Friday and Saturday.
It is rather an interesting circumstance in connection with secondary school education that probably three times as many lads from the North Island attend Southern institutions, as there are boys attending North Island schools.
