BANKRUPT CAR DRIVER

DIFFICULTY IN MEETING TIME PAYMENTS.

Masterton, March 22. A petition in bankruptcy has been filed by John Lorimer C. Allan, service ear proprietor, of Flat Point, Mastertou. Bankrupt’s total debts are £ll6 17s. 9d., and his assets nil. There are no secured creditors, the chief of those on tho unsecured list being J- Gibson (Auckland), £42; G. Malmo and Co. (Masterton), £2B; Dominion Rubber Co. (Wellington), £l5; 'and Campbell Motors, Ltd. (Wellington), £ll. In his personal statement bankrupt says that be purchased a car in January, 1927, and entered into the motor service business betweep Masterton and Wellington. The car was bought on. the hire purchase system through Dominion Motors Ltd., and bankrupt undertook the liability of £35 monthly during the summer, and £2O monthly during the winter. Until September last he bad been able to make thpse payments, but in that month made default, and the car was seized. Bankrupt had been forced to file, ns one of his creditors bad secured n Court iudement ncninsf him. A meeting of creditors called for to day lapsed for want, of a quorum.
