’VARSITY CHAMPIONSHIPS. Some stirring contests should be witnessed at the Victoria College championships, to be held at the Basin Reserve on Saturday night. Besides the ten colege championships, there will be the following open events:—loo yards handicap 440 yards’ handicap. 880 yards handicap, 100 vards’ ladies’ handicap, one mile A grade cycle handicap, one mile and a half B grade cycle handicap, boys race, throwing the javelin, and a Devil-take-the-Hindmost” cycle contest.
