Palmerston North, February 20. “I suppose 1 got a bit excited and used words for which a man would be sorry afterwards,” said J. O’Reilly, who was stated to have neither fixed abode or occupation, iu the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court this morning, when pleading guilty to a charge of using indecent language in a public place. Senior-Sergeant O’Grady stated that the accused was a decided nuisance in the town, and had been convicted three times before on similar charges. The Magistrate inflicted a sentence of one month's imprisonment.
