Men’s Doubles.—First round: Lawson and Rees beat Woodhouse and Penney, 6—3, 7—a; Dyer and Dyer beat Maunsell and Beetham, 7—5, 6—o; Hodder and James beat Bee and Tomlinson, 10—8, -6—4; Irwin and Marshall beat Miller and Heaps. Combined Doubles.—First round : Martin and Mrs. Michael beat Bee and Mrs. Gordon, 6—4, 4—6, 6—4; Wellwood and Miss Sellar beat Marshall and Miss Cook; Welch and Miss Bradley beat Rose and Miss K.
