TOWN AND COUNTRY Miss' A. Hare (Feilding) is visiting Mrs. P. Dransfield, Makuri. Mrs. F. Foss, of Wellington, is a visitor to Hastings. Mrs. C. Bennett (Hawke’s Bay) will leave Auckland to-day by the Hinemoa for Norfolk Island. Miss Stevenson (Auckland) is the guest of Mrs. Will, Palmerston North. Miss D. N. Allan, principal of the New Plymouth Girls’ High School, is in Dunedin, having been summoned thence after the death of her mother.

Mrs. W. G. Shannon (Feilding) is a visitor to Wellington. Mrs. A. J. Faulknor and her daughter, who recently returned from a holiday in Switzerland and Northern England, are now residing in Gisborne. Miss Spain, of Feilding, is on a visit to Nelson.

Mr. and Mrs. W. Flail (Palmerston North) were recent visitors to Napier. Miss Betty Cotterill (Christchurch) will, leave next month for England. The many friends of Mrs. E. Epplett, of Havelock North, will regret to hear that she is seriously ill. Miss M. McLean (Auckland) is the guest of Mrs Bale, Palmerston North. Mrs. Alfred Caselberg, of Masterton, is spending a holiday at Seatoun. Mrs. J. W- Bird, of Masterton, and Miss G. Read, of Clareville, -were the guests .of Mrs. Tatham at Homewood at the week-end. Miss N. Cooper, who has been the guest of Mrs. Wardell, Masterton, has returned to Wellington. Miss Jean Graham, of Wellington, is visiting Lower Hutt. Miss Betty. Gill and Miss Ray Harrison, of Masterton, were at Lower Hutt for the week-end. MADAME MENERE’S TOUR. Madame Menere will be shortly commencing her 1928 Dominion tour, her opening town being Invercargill. The North Island tour should begin about the same time as last year, round about Easter. More definite details will be announced at a later date Madame announces the arrival verv shortly of some wonderful furs from London and Paris.—Advt.
