TROWERN OUTPOINTS MILLER (Rec. February 19, 5.5 p.m.) Melbourne, February 19. Trowern (lOst. 41b.) outpointed Bob Miller (lOst. 41b.) in a fifteen rounds contest. It was a thrilling bout, marked by heavy punching. Trowern was within an ace of victory. In the fifth round the Irishman made a remarkable recovery, being exceptionally game, but the New Zealander forged ahead in the final rounds. McDonald defeated by SULLIVAN (Rec February 19, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, February 19. At the Stadium Sullivan (list. 4 Jib.) outpointed McDonald (list. 11b.). The New Zealander forced the fighting throughout, but Sullivan’s superfine boxing enabled him to score a majority of the points. Owing to a badly gashed eve, the result of a collision of heads, McDonald was placed at a considerable disadvantage and missed points. The decision met with a mixed reception.
