John Sharpe, a cook, aged 47, was fined £2, in default seven days’ imprisonment for committing a breach of his prohibition order. Accused, who had as many as seventeen prior convictions, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon within six months, on a charge of refusing to leave the Gresham Hotel when requested to do so by the licensee. He was convicted and discharged for drunkenness. Sub-Inspector Lander said that Sharpe, who was an inmate of the Ohiro Home, had left there on Friday and started out on a drinking bout. He understood, however, that the officials at the home had agreed to take Sharpe back as the latter's conduct had been satisfactory while in the institution.
