OLYMPIC GAMES

TENTATIVb) ARRANGEMENTS. If the New Zealand team selected to compete at the Olympic Games at Amsterdam sails on April 28, it being that satisfactory arrangements will be able to be made for the Dominion’s representaives to depart on that date, the atheltic and swimming sections will compete at the English championships early in julv, and it may be possible for the rowers to appear at Henley. After the Games the whole team will return to England. There the track and field members will be included m the British Empire team against the United States—a fixture which has become one of the world’s great athletic events. They will also compete for an Empire team against the Achilles Club. The swimmers and boxers will probably go to Ireland for the Tailteann Games, while there is a possibility of important rowing events being arranged on the Thames. On the wav borne, if circumstances permit, a portion of the team may compete in South Africa to return the compliment paid to the Dominion by the sending here of the South African athletes in 1922.
