q OTAHUHU 'MEETING TERENCE DILLON WINS CUP BY TELEGBAPII.— PEES 1 ASSOCIATION. Auckland, February 18. The Otahuhu Trotting Club’s summer meeting opened at Alexandra Park today. The weather was fine but dull. There was a good attendance. Some fast times were recorded. The totalisator handled 1144,972, compared with <£46,151 last year. Nelson Fame attempted to lower the mile mile record of 2min. 3 3-ssec., but fell after completing the first half in 59 3-ssec. Results: — TRIAL HANDICAP (harness), of 300 sovs. One mile and a half. 5 Mr. H. Kinnimont’s Roma Bingen (H. Kinnimont) 1 2 Mr. J, Malone’s Real Todd (W. Willetts) 2 1 Mrs. E. A. Jewel Wave was the early leader, closely followed by Real Todd. Real Todd led into the straight with Roma Bingen. After both broke the latter went through to win by three parts of a length.
