NOBILE’S POLAR FLIGHT
PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED (Rec. February 17, 10.50 p.m.) Rome, February 16. Th programme of Nobile's polar expedition has been fixed as follows The airship Italia will leave Rome in April bound for King’s Bay, Spitzbergen, via Venice, Vienna, Prague and Stettin. Nobile will use King’s Bay as a base, and hopes to make at least ten excursions over polar regions, effect a landing at the North Pole, and establish the Italian flag thereon. The expedition is limited to Italians. Pressing requests from three Russian and two Norwegian scientists have been refused.
