A Hereford bull, straying on the road leading to Black Hills, between North Chatton and Black Hills, has been making a nuisance of himself during the past few days (says the Mataura “Hnsign”). One gentleman, driving some cattle along the road, got off his horse in order to secure a gorse stick to chase the animal. The bull moved away for a few yards and then suddenly turned and charged. The gentleman in question did not stop to argue further, but promptly dropped the reins and made for the nearest fence.
