Meteorological Office, Wellington, January 11,4 p.m. Anti-cyclonic conditions still over New Zealand, but, slight lowpressure wave situated eastwards. South-westerly winds, moderate north of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, more especially in the Cook Strait area. Some scattered showers at first in the East Coast district, south of East Cape and about Cook Strait, but improving. Chiefly fair to fine elsewhere.
