THE ROYAL SHOW
JVHEN WILL IT BE HELD? SPRING OR AUTUMN It is possible that an important change of policy will be made when the Council of the Royal Agricultural Society meets in Wellington on Wednesday next, mainly to decide whether the Roval Show—which is to be held at Palmerston North next time—shall be held in the spring or in the autumn, and whether the Royal Agricultural Society will run its own show instead of allowing it to be run in conjunction with the local A. and F. Show. . ' , ' It is believed that most of the breed■ers’ ' societies favour the innovation, while the A. and P. Societies are fairly divided in their opinion. If the council decided to conduct the Royal Show itself in future it will initiate annual sales of pedigree stock as a special feature, in order to give more encouragement to the breeders of such stock. If a spring show is decided upon it will probably be held in ; November, and if an autumn show m January or ..February of next year, in which event the-seasonal change would mean that there would be no Royal Show in the year 1928.
