CAR OUT OF CONTROL
CAPSIZES ON ROAD. By Telegraph.—Pbess Association. Christchurch, January 10. While Mr. Green, a teacher, from Blenheim, with his wife and family was going down Porter’s Pass yesterday afternoon his car got out of control and the brakes failed to hold. The occupants expected every minute to be hurled over a precipice, but to save a severe smash Mr. Green steered his car into the hill, which caused it to capsize in the middle of the road. The car was badly damaged. Nirs. Green received a broken arm and severe cuts, while. Mr. Green and his daughter are suffering from severe cuts and bruises. The son escaped unhurt.
