FRENCH REPLY TO UNITED STATES READY TO CO-OPERATE IN SUBMITTING ACT FOR NATIONS’ APPROVAL BY Telegraph.—Press association. Copyright. Paris, January 8. M. Briand’s reply to Mr. Kellogg recalls M. Briand’s prevous proposal on the same subject, and adds mat the French Government highly appreciates the favourable reception which the United States Government has accorded M. Briand’s proposal. It considers Mr. Kellogg’s suggested procedure satisfactory, and that it would be advantageous to consecrate its character forthwith by French ’-nd American signature.
“I am'authorised to inform you,” says the Note, “that the French Government is ready to co-operate with America in submitting for the approval of all nations an Act signed by France and America, whereunder the contracting parties renounce aggressive war and accept every pacific method. France an? America would invite other States to adhere to it.”—A.P.A. and “Sun.”
