The Minister oi Health (Hen. J. A. Young) returned to Wellington yesterday from the north. The Hon. W. D. Stewart will return to Wellington from the South this morning. . r , The Minister of Finance (Hon W. D. Stewart) • will return to Wellington from the south this morning. The Mayor (Mr. G. A. Troup) has returned to Wellington after a l.olidav spent in the Tongariro National laik and at Taupo. The Director-General of Agriculture (Dr. C. J. Reakes) will leave England on January 14 for South Africa. After a visit to various agricultural centres and institutes there, he will continue his journey to New Zealand, via Australia, and he is due at Wellington at the end of February. Admiral Sir James Fergusson, brother of the Governor-General, accompanied by Ladv Fergusson and family, left Auckland on Saturday for i the Bay of Islands, where the Admiral will do some deep-sea fishing. Later, Sir James will leave for the 'South Island for troutfishing. He will return to England in April. The Department of Scientific Research has received advice that Dr. A. W. Hill, Director of Kew Botanical Gardens, London, will leave Melbourne for Wellington by the Manuka on January 18.
