HOLIDAY RAILWAY TRAFFIC
Over 2300 more tickets were issued by the Thorndon Railway booking office during the holiday season just passed, and these represent an increase of £760 in the railway revenue.
Slight decreases were recorded in holiday bookings made by the central booking office and Lambton station, but for the period December 14 to January 5 Lambton, nevertheless, shows an increase in revenue of almost £250, while central booking office takings are down by £470. The following figures give the position during the period mentioned for the past two vears: — ’ 1926-27.
