Matters concerning the shipping of dairy produce from Wanganui will be discussed by factory managers and dairy company directors at Wanganui on Thursday. An inspection of the port’s facilities will also be made. The conference wlil be conducted under the auspices of the Manawatu branch of the New Zealand Factory Managers’ Association.
A highly respected resident of the Taihape and northern dist'.Sta passed away this week in the Tailiape Hospital in the person of Mrs. Celia Frances Buckley, wife of Hr. Geo.*e Buckley. Deceased was 67 years of age. and was the first white child born on the Wanganui River. She married and went to reside in tlie Ohingaiti district in 1891. and she and her husband were tlie oldest residents in that locality. Following arc the sons and daughters:—Messrs.
