4 THIEVES SECURE £5O WORTH. Dominion Special Service. Christchurch, January 9. A clean sweep of practically all the jewellery she possessed was made by thieves who visited the home of Mrs. 11. C. Henderson, Slater Street, Richmond. The value of the missing articles is over £5O. Mrs. Henderson was absent dt the seaside, but paid periodical visits to her home. On Friday evening thieves entered the house by bursting the strong lock off the back door. They then lowered the window blinds in every room and proceeded to ransack the house. It is a singular thing that the house was left in an orderly state. , The thieves went to two small drawers in which was kept jewellery of sentimental and intrinsic value, such as rings, watches, combs, and trinkets generally. This is the second time that Mrs. Henderson has been troubled by thieves. On the former occasion at a different house preference was also shown for jewellery
