ITINERARY OF NORTHERN TOUR
The Minister of Lands (Hon. A. D. McLeod) returns to-day from the Wairarapa, where he has been spending the Cliiistmas vacatou. Mr. McLeod will leave to-morrow for Whangarei to attend the jubilee function of the Whangarei County Council. He will subsequently proceed to Darguville to take part, with the Prime Minister, and the Hon. 0. J. Hawken (Commissioner of State* Forests), iu the opening l ceremony of Llie new road in the vicinity of the celebrated Waipoua kauri forest. , While in the north the Minister intends to inspect the proposed set I loment at Tangowahine, and generally to look into the question of the settlement ol the gum lands.
