FIRST PAYMENT UNDER CONTRIBUTORY SCHEME Rugby, January 5. The first payment of pensions under the contributory scheme to persons between 65 and 70 years of age who have been insured under the health insurance scheme are being made to-day, and it is estimated that the amount of additional money disbursed by bringing into operation this scheme will distribute £125,000 a week. By means of the health and unemployment insurance and contributory old age pensions, working men and women are now provided by the State against the more serious y£ British Official Wirslesa.
