TOWN AND COUNTRY Misses Is. aud M. McFarlane, of Napier, are on a visit to Wanganui. Mrs. L. S. Breakwell and Miss N. Herbert, of Dannevirke, who have been in Napier, have now proceeded to Rotorua. Mr. and Mrs. Mander have returned to Para alter a stay at Milford Beach, Auckland. Mrs. Howard Batchelor, of Palmerston North, is in Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Il Cobb, of Wellington, are on a short visit to Napier. Miss Constance Ross, of Whangarei, is visiting Napier, and is staying with her sister, Mrs. G. Hawke. Mr. and Mrs. H. 11. Daniell (Masterton) are holiday-making at New Plymouth. Miss Madge Holniwood has returned to Masterton from a holiday spent at Paekakariki, and is now staying with her sister, Mrs. R. S. Pilmer, “Waiteko.” Mr. and Mrs. B. Powell (Masterton) are visiting Christchurch. Miss Doris Cook, who has been staying with Mrs. Bett (Nelson) is now visiting Mrs. Hugh Morrison, ‘‘ A watoi toi, ” Mas terton. Miss Thelma Denbee has returned to Mastertou from a visit to her cousin, Miss Mavis Oates, Carterton. Mr. and Mrs. J. Noble and family (Mastertou) have left on a motor tour to the North Island. Miss D. Tinney paid a short visit to Greytown to see her aunt during the New Year holidays. Mrs. Arthur Dunn and her two daughters are visiting Mrs. S. Dunn (Greytown). They reside at Te Aroha. MADAME MENERE’S HINTS ON FURS. "Rabbit, to-day," says Madame Menere, “is being made to represent almost every known fur. In fact, very often the rabbit imitation when new looks superior to the fur it is made to represent. It is pot until some months have elapsed that the fur is found to be weiring badly.
