BRITISH AND FOREIGN BIBLE SOCIETY
The Britiali and Foreign Bible Society announces that it has passed another milestone in its endeavour to bring the Scriptures to all peoples. By the addition of seven new versions since March last it has now printed portions of the Scriptures in 600 different languages. At the beginning of the century tlie uumber was 363. so that 237 fresh versions have seen the light during less than tnent,''.eight rears. Recently in one calendar year 14 new versions were issued, and a; the present time several are in type, and will shortly be added to the grand total.
