DEPREDATIONS IN CENTRAL EUROPE

ELEVEN GIRLS DEVOURED (Rec. January 5, 7.15 p.m.) London, January 4. The “Datlv Mail’s” Vienna correspondent reports that depredations by starving w’olves in Hungary and Czechoslovakia are increasing. The animals have penetrated districts where they had been unknown for years. One pack attacked and devoured eleven girls in a wood in the Carpathian Mountains, and the countryside is panicstricken.
